Does it seem like he likes me or just friends?

So, I like this guy, let's call him 'C'
He is in eighth grade and I'm in seventh grade.
We text all the time but I usually start it.
We ask eachother a lot if random questions, the only question that hasn't come up is 'who do you like?'
He sometimes stares at me.
He has said my middle name, Erin was a pretty name, and he has called me pretty but his exact words were, 'you looked pretty today, in a non weird friendly type way.'
He and I are pretty good friends, and we talk a lot during our 5th period (Spanish class).
We sit by each other in Spanish.
When we had to present, he said I did good, (I Don't Know if this counts as a sign he likes me though)
By the way, we both hate our spanish class and think its boring. Then, today he texted me first and then I didn't reply for like an hour so he texted me again.
Are these signs that 'C' likes me?

He has school boy crush on you. It's normal for middle school kids to have crushes on each other.

We are in beginning Spanish. We also have math together. The shook we go to mixes some grades together. Only in math, Spanish and choir.
